YLAB Arquitectos is a Barcelona based architecture and interior design practice co-founded by Tobias Laarmann and Yolanda Yuste. We work internationally on commercial, residential, corporate, hospitality and healthcare projects providing full architectural, interior design and furniture design services.

Our projects are conceived to merge smart design with a great level of detail and the finest craft work, creating timeless spaces under the focus of functionality and consideration of a client’s individual personality and needs. Our commitment is to provide the very best design and construction expertise throughout the planning, design, construction and commissioning process until project completion.

We provide global architectural services including executed projects in Europe, Africa and Asia. Our portfolio includes references projects such as: Zeiss Shop System in Spain, diverse restaurants for the international hotel chain Hi-Hotels, Inaugure Hospitality Headquarters in Barcelona, ANV headquarters in Barcelona and offices in London, BNDE bank in Dakar and Bridge Bank Group in Abidjan, Dental Angels clinic in Barcelona, Vallvidrera house and the Gothic quarter and Diagonal Mar apartments.

Yolanda Yuste

Partner

Yolanda Yuste studied industrial engineering at the University of Zaragoza. After transferring to the Technical University of Braunschweig, in Germany, she continued industrial engineering and added architecture to her studies. She graduated from the Berlin University of Arts in 2001.

She started working for international architectural offices like Renzo Piano/Kohlbecker, Jean Nouvel, Pysall.Ruge and Alusi Design; where she was envolved in the exhibition design of the German Expo 2000 pavilion in Hannover, the Debis tower at the Postdamer Platz, the Galeries Lafayette and the Canada House Building in Berlin.

In 2003 she moved to Barcelona to found YLAB Arquitectos with Tobias Laarmann.


Tobias Laarmann

Partner

Tobias Laarmann studied architecture at the University of Dortmund and the Berlin University of Arts where he graduated in 2000.

He started his career working as a teacher assistant at the Berlin University of Arts and at the studio MBA, a partner office of Foster and Partners in Berlin, where he designs corporate office buildings for companies as SAP AG, Aachen Münchener and Thuringia Generali Insurance Company, among others.

In 2003 his career leads him to Barcelona, in Spain, where he cofounded YLAB Arquitectos together with Yolanda Yuste. In 2005 he started teaching design, architecture and new media at the IaaC, Catalonian Advanced Institute of Architecture.
